What to Include
Give as much detail as you can. Useful information includes:
- A description of what happened
- The date, time and location
- The office or department involved, and the names or designations of the people involved
- Any money demanded or paid
- Any documents, messages, photos or other evidence. See Evidence Protocols.
Report to a Government Authority
You can also file a complaint directly with the authority responsible:
- Lokpal of India — Complaints against public servants. lokpal.gov.in
- Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) — Complaints involving central government organisations. cvc.gov.in
- State Anti-Corruption Bureau or Vigilance Department — Complaints involving state government offices.
- Emergency — If you are in danger, call 112.
